EUROPEAN DISABILITY FORUM

The European Disability Forum exists to represent disabled people in dialogue with the European Union and other European authorities. EDF was created by its member organisations in 1996 to defend issues of common concern to all disability groups, and to be an independent and strong voice for disabled citizens in dialogue with the EU. Its mission is to promote equal opportunities for disabled people and to protect their human rights.

EDF has a large number of member organisations reflecting a broad geographical base and a wide range of concerns across the European disability movement, including 27 national federations of disabled people and 97 organisations representing the various disability groups and interests in Europe.
