Full Membership

Business & Disability strives to have members from diverse business sectors. Companies and organisations can, independently of the business sector they operate in, become a Full Member of Business & Disability if:

  • They agree to and endorse the objectives of the network;
  • They are actively involved in providing services and/or solutions for people with disabilities and in promoting Accessibility, eAccessibility and/or Employment;
  • They are prepared to contribute resources, including funds, to ensure the proper functioning of Business & Disability and the achievement of its objectives.

Membership fees

Each full member of Business & Disability shall contribute to the budget required to ensure the proper functioning of the network. Membership fees will be due once a year and will be established in accordance with the needs of the annual work programme. In order to encourage membership of companies from different business sectors and market size, funding contributions will vary depending on which of the following three categories the company qualifies under:

  • Less than 50 employees worldwide (50% of the annual fee)
  • Between 51 to 500 employees worldwide (75 % of the annual fee)
  • More than 500 employees worldwide (annual fee)

The membership fee has been set for 2007 at € 12.500 per member covering a period of 12 months (January to December). This fee will be revised for 2008 depending on the work programme and membership base. Members joining during the course of the year will pay a pro-rated fee.

Associate Membership

Not-for-profit organisations such as NGOs or academia that subscribe to the objectives of B&D may be invited to join as Associate Members. Such membership shall entitle to regular information about the activities of B&D, the opportunity -as appropriate- to present and participate in projects and activities of B&D. Associate Members, similarly to Full Members, will be consulted on important public policy initiatives and policy developments in relation to the Mandate of B&D.

Associate Members do not pay membership fees and have no voting right.
