Disability-inclusive care policies and practices at the workplace

Around the world, employers increasingly recognize the benefits of disability-inclusive care policies and practices at the workplace.
The ILO Global Business and Disability Network's "Care to Compete" report identifies six main themes: aligning care policies with workforce needs allows for better retention and productivity; increasing awareness among staff is key to maximizing the use of care policies by employees with disabilities and employees with dependants with disabilities; inclusive workplace policy engagement empowers employees, including those with disabilities; it is essential to advance equity in care for both employees with disabilities and those with dependants with disabilities; supporting the well-being and engagement of employees with care responsibilities is key, bridging companies' global vision with local implementation is an essential aspect of sound care policies.
