Bangladesh Business & Disability Network at 14th United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights

Shamarukh Fakhruddin, Director at the Urmi Group and Board of Trustee Member of the Bangladesh Business & Disability Network (BBDN) - a member of the ILO Global Business and Disability Network - addressed the 14th United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights on 24 November 2025. She highlighted BBDN's work in bridging the supply and the demand side of the Bangladeshi labour market from a disability inclusion perspective. In her own company, a focus on accessibility and workplace adjustments played a key role in enabling the sustainable employment of persons with disabilities.
