In 2018, Inserta Empleo’s general director, Virginia Carcedo, signed a total of 24 Municip agreements with municipalities throughout the different autonomous communities in Spain.
The objective of these agreements is to promote the employment of people with disabilities. For this purpose, these agreements establish a partnership framework aimed at improving the labor situation of people with disabilities through the creation of training, recruitment, referral, counseling, and labor insertion programs.

The agreements also aim at raising awareness amongst citizens, social agents and companies on the abilities of this collective. This type of agreement also foresees the joint drafting and execution of specific actions aimed at young women with disabilities, to promote their access to the labor market, and at raising awareness amongst the business community, to foster their commitment with young talent.

The Municip agreements are framed within the Social Inclusion and Social Economy and the Youth Employment operational programs. They are being developed by the ONCE Foundation through its Inserta Program, and with the co-funding of the European Social Fund, to promote the training and employment of people with disabilities.
The municipalities that joined this initiative last year were: Ejea de los Caballeros, Alcorcón, Salamanca, Almería, Algeciras, Vilagarcía de Arousa, Zaragoza, A Estrada, Calahorra, Teruel, Alcañiz, Lucena, Logroño, Fuengirola, Cádiz, Monzón, Pineda del Mar, Talavera, Haro, Ávila, Arrecife, Galapagar, Palencia and Villaquilambre.
