Business Disability Forum (BDF) will open nominations for its Disability Smart Impact Awards 2026 on 3 December. The launch will form part of BDF’s celebrations for the United Nations (UN) International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The Disability Smart Impact Awards 2026 are free to enter and open to UK and global organisations of any size and in any sector.

Running since 2015, the awards are more than just celebrations of disability inclusion and the impact that has for disabled people – they can also be opportunities for collaboration and catalysts for change. By spotlighting innovation, inclusion and impact, these awards create a collaborative environment where businesses and individuals get together to share stories, forge partnerships and challenge the status quo.

It is for this reason that, from 2026, BDF has decided to make “impact” the focus and the very reason for its awards. This is reflected in their new name – the Disability Smart Impact Awards.

There are 14 categories this year, including awards specifically for small and medium-sized businesses around inclusive workplace experience and global disability inclusion.

Lara Davis, Director of Communications, Marketing and Digital, Business Disability Forum, said:

“Our Disability Smart Impact Awards showcase and celebrate the work of organisations and individuals who are removing barriers to inclusion for disabled employees and consumers alike. They also provide a chance to have conversations that lead to even bigger outcomes and sustained impact, and many new business partnerships have been forged among organisations entering and attending these awards.”
