Orange publishes its 2025 report on disability, accessibility, and neurodiversity
Based on 2024 data, this second report highlights Orange’s ongoing commitment to promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities and neurodiverse individuals, both within the company and across society. This ambition was reaffirmed by Christel Heydemann, CEO of the Orange Group, with the signing on November 27, 2024, of the ILO GBDN’s Business Leaders’ Pledge to Include Disability in Sustainability Efforts.
The report highlights the progress made since the 2023 edition as well as best practices in terms of accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities or neuroatypical individuals, in countries and entities of the Group across the world. This approach is being rolled out in conjunction with its ecosystem and stakeholders: customers, employees, suppliers and subcontractors, inclusion actors, governments, etc.
It notably outlines the actions taken to make its customer service channels accessible, design adapted products and services, strengthen responsible purchasing practices, develop sponsorship initiatives around autism, and support entrepreneurship, particularly in the MEA region.
The report also details the efforts made to foster an inclusive environment within Orange's teams, through recruitment policies, support systems for employees with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions, awareness-raising activities for employees, and various initiatives to adapt workstations and the work environment.
By the end of 2024, Orange had 5197 employees recognized as having a disability, representing 4.20% of the Group’s workforce, up +7.90% compared to 2022.
Finally, the report emphasizes that the issues of disability, accessibility, and neurodiversity are now integrated into the Group's governance and overall strategy, confirming that Orange places inclusion at the heart of its values and activities.
Orange is one of the world's leading telecommunications operators, with revenues of €40.3 billion in 2024, 300 million customers and 124,600 employees worldwide. The Group is present in 26 countries.
