Private sector employment in developing countries
Private sector companies can play a key role in challenging the widely held view that the only opportunity for people with disabilities in developing countries to obtain a livelihood is through self-employment in the informal economy. An effective way to do so is the establishment and promotion of employers-led national business and disability networks, as has been achieved in countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, Peru and Zambia.
