The UES (economic and social unit) of Capgemini France has signed their 6th agreement in favor of employment and inclusion of people with disabilities. Since 1996, Capgemini has been committed to the employment and integration of people with disabilities, valuing them foremost as individuals and professionals, and acknowledging their unique contributions to the workplace. Between 2020 and 2023, the company has increased their representation in their workforce by more than 50% at Group level either by direct hiring or increased self-disclosure rate.

This 6th agreement signed in France last November, with four of the five representative union organizations, covers a 3-year period.  It represents a renewed commitment to accelerate their long-term goal towards inclusion of all abilities.

While actively pursuing its flagship actions on recruitment, integration and retention in employment, accessibility of their offices, communications and tools, Capgemini wishes to put a stronger focus on changing the mentalities and perceptions among all employees, irrespective of their role within the organization (whether employee, manager, HR, recruiter, etc.). Furthermore, Capgemini is committed to mobilizing all departments, cross-functional teams, and operational services towards fostering a more inclusive workplace culture.

The company’s objectives remain clear and ambitious, aiming to progress, in France, towards the legal employment rate of 6%, with an interim target set at 4.5% at the end of 2026. As a reminder, this rate stood at 3.28% in 2022.

Accountability for translating the terms of the agreement into tangible actions rests with their Human Resources and Diversity and Inclusion teams, supported by a dedicated Mission Handicap team, and our expanding CapAbility employee network.

Together, Capgemini is committed to enhancing their collective awareness and recognition of the diverse talents and abilities that enrich their workforce.
