For the second year in a row, within the framework of the Inter-American Human Resource Manager Day, the Inclusive Business Network brought together fifteen new CEOs to speak out for the inclusion of people with disabilities, thus consolidating a powerful business alliance for the full inclusion and equal treatment for all in the workplace. This initiative was once again supported by the Uruguayan Human Resource Management Society and the National Chamber of Commerce and Services in Uruguay.

This event was held in the Conference Hall of the National Chamber of Commerce and Services. Amongst the attendees were Daniel Pérez, National Director for Employment at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security; Fabio Bertranou, Director of the ILO Country Office for the Southern Cone of Latin America; Stefan Trömel, representative for the ILO Global Business and Disability Network; Fernando Carotta Derudder and Leticia Viva, Co-Executive Directors of the Inclusive Business Network in Argentina and Uruguay; Roberto Illingworth Cabanilla, Ambassador of Ecuador to Uruguay, and several other diplomats accredited in our country.

This second edition has raised to 30 the number of CEOs from renowned public and private organizations who publicly commit to promoting, among other things, zero tolerance towards labour discrimination, senior management participation via a targeted agenda, the swift employment of people with disabilities and the implementation of cross-cutting and rights-based training opportunities within our organisation.
