Capgemini Brazil has been proactive in championing D&I initiatives. In February this year, alongside the global rollout of their Group D&I policy, they introduced a tailored and local D&I policy aimed at addressing the unique needs of their workforce. This policy not only emphasizes inclusivity but also provides clear guidelines and best practices for both employees and managers, ensuring that everyone plays a role in fostering a culture of belonging. Supporting their colleagues of all abilities is a key focus.

One key aspect of the company’s D&I efforts is the implementation of a self-identification (self-ID) process. This initiative supported by local informative gatherings allows employees to voluntarily disclose their disability status, empowering them to better understand and support the needs of their workforce. Capgemini is proud to report that 15% of individuals in their headcount have participated in this process, with 48% of them opting to self-identify as having a disability. This data allows the company to tailor their support mechanisms accordingly, ensuring that every individual feels valued and respected.

Moreover, 11 out of 15 cases of self-identification includes individuals on the autism spectrum. This highlights the importance of neuro-inclusion and reinforces their dedication to creating an environment where all talents are recognised and embraced.

Capgemini’s journey toward inclusivity extends beyond policy implementation. Recognizing the importance of continual dialogue and collaboration, the company launched their Neurodiversity Committee on April 2nd, coinciding with World Autism Awareness Day. This committee will serve as a platform for discussion, advocacy, and support, further cementing their commitment to fostering a truly inclusive workplace.

Behind these achievements lies the dedication of the company’s tireless team and the unwavering support of their people managers. Their collective efforts have propelled them forward, driving tangible progress in their D&I initiatives. As the organisation continue to evolve and grow, there remains steadfast commitment to creating a workplace where everyone feels empowered to bring their authentic selves to work.
