Standard Chartered bank has developed a toolkit to assist managers and staff who have a person with a disability in their team.

The toolkit is a ‘signpost’ that links staff to specific tools such as hiring and onboarding, ongoing staff management, online awareness training, workplace adjustments (reasonable accommodation), disability etiquette, and external agencies and assistance in each country.

The toolkit aims help all staff minimise and overcome the barriers in the workplace, and to ensure that all staff are included and empowered. And like all good toolkits, it is being updated and expanded with new tools being added.

The toolkit was launched on 3 December 2018, in conjunction with International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It is a step in Standard Chartered’s journey to becoming a Disability Confident organisation.
